The NIJL/EAJRS Kuzushi-ji Workshop will be held online 19-21 April 2023. This year, Cambridge University Library will provide some material for the workshop. The workshop is free of charge. The NIJL/EAJRS Kuzushi-ji Workshop will be held online between 20 and 23 April 2022. This year, the Chester Beatty will provide some of its collections for the workshop. At the noon of Japan Standard Time on August 30, 2021, the Android and iOS version of the app was officially released. The app is free of charge. Install the app from Google Play or App Store, and use it on your smartphones or tablets.
NIJL/EAJRS Kuzushiji Workshop, which is a collaborative programme between the National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) and the European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS), started in 2011 under the initiative of Professor Yūichirō Imanishi, then the Director of NIJL. This training programme is designed for librarians and curators in Europe, who manage Japanese antiquarian materials. The aim of this workshop is to develop their skills in deciphering Japanese historical cursive scripts.
Date: 3 days: 21-23 April 2021, 10:30-15:50 (Central Europe Summer Time)
Instructors: Professor Yamamoto Kazuaki, first 5 sessions on 古典籍. Associate Professor Ōta Naohiro, last 4 sessions on 古文書.
Committee Members: Akira Hirano, Naomi Yabe Magnussen, Izumi Tytler (adviser)
Format: ZOOM (supported by Oslo University). 3 sessions a day. 70 minutes a session. Each session had lecture part and practise part.

立命館大学アート・リサーチセンターでは、文部科学省国際共同利用共同研究拠点の研究支援活動の一環として、下記の通りARC古典籍ポータル・データベースと翻刻システムを使った古文献の解読講習会・錬成講座、ならびに古文献の解読を目指すプロジェクトの支援を実施することになりました。
講習会は、前期・後期にわけ、前期は翻刻の基礎知識とシステム利用方法に重点をおいた講習を実施し、前期だけである程度読めるようにすることを目標としています。
後期は、初級・中級レベルの方々が、自分が翻刻したい作品を選んで翻刻していきます。翻刻した本文は、翻刻システムを通じて、熟練のスタッフが添削・指導します。
また、特定のテーマを持った研究プロジェクトとして翻刻を進められる場合も、使用方法を説明を受けた上、システムを利用することが可能です。
いずれも参加費無料です。
